Airbus has begun final assembly of the first A320neo, the new version powered family single-aisle A320.
The first aircraft, MSN6101 has been forward and rear fuselage join in Toulouse, the sections that have been delivered from plants in St Nazaire and Hamburg.
Following joining fuselage, the aircraft shall wing mating. Airbus intends to carry out the first flight in the fourth quarter of this year, and says the program is "on track" to meet this schedule. Airbus delivers A320-family to Air Arabia in Middle East, this would be 6,000th of liveries.
